ExternalEval not working on Mac?

Either I'm doing something very wrong or this isn't working on Mac at all. Works fine on Windows (IE, Chrome, FF), but I get no indication of it working at all on Mac FF, Chrome, Safari

Has anyone gotten this to work at all on Mac, or is there a work-around (does ExternalCall work for example)?
