Android Keyboard Issues

Hi All,

I am having an issue on Android 2.3.3 (nexus one) where if i display the keyboard I can only input text without being able to interact with the unity view. i.e. once the keyboard is opened no touch events are not passed to unity.

this only happens when hideInputs set to false.

Anyone else had similar issue and is there a solution?

Many thanks

Yas

UPDATE

on newer version of Android (ICS) the keyboard is dismissed when user touches outside the keyboard and textfield areas.

at the moment I am thinking of either:

-Building my own keyboard plugin for Android

-Setting hideInputs to true and creating my own textfield input with cursor support for touch screen using Unity;

I filed a bug and waiting for a response
