Perforce with unity3d and animations of character
Hello everybody. Sry, i'm noob with this theme, so I'd like to ask...
I'm trying to use Perforce Helix version control now with my unity project and i've got a problem.
In my project I use a char "@" for animations of molel, like: model.fbx model@idle.fbx model@run.fbx etc
And now I can't add my prject's files to Helix version control because Helix uses "@" like a technical char for saving file's version, like: file@version1 file@version2 etc
How to solve this? I need to use "@" for my animations and I'd like to use Helix VC.
Haven't used Perforce, but it seems like you're gonna have more success changing the character you use than to adjust how Perforce works. I think it is more common to use an _ for what you are doing, such as model_idle.fbx.
No, I can't. As I understand, Unity requires to use "@" for splitting models and animations: https://docs.unity3d.com/$$anonymous$$anual/Splittinganimations.html It wrote at "Importing Animations using multiple model files" section.
Check out the bottom of this page in the Perforce documentation:
