Getting started with editing animation elements via script
I am in the process of creating a game with a friend of mine who is significantly less familiar with unity than I am. In an effort to help them as well as any future modders, I am making an in-depth map editor. The map editor includes the ability to make custom units and to give them custom animations in-game. Problem is, the animation engine isn't really built to be meddled with in scripts normally. Or maybe it is, I don't know. Does anyone know of a tutorial series, article or documentation section that does a deep dive on the innards of the animation system, especially for 2d? Heres hoping. Thanks in advance for any links sent my way. Happy game making!
