Prefab created in Windows not opening on Mac

I created a project in Windows that I would like to be able to open up on my Macbook when I feel like working away from home. For some reason, I'm not able to zip up my project folder and open up on my Mac. I've created a couple of prefabs in the project on Windows, yet when I unzip the project on Mac, my prefabs end up looking like this and losing any associated sprites and inspector properties:

alt text

I've also tried creating a package on Windows and importing into a new project on Mac, but keep getting the same issue. I did notice one thing when trying to export a package on windows in my console:

Invalid AssetDatabase path: Z:/Program Files/Unity/Editor/Data/UnityExtensions/Unity/GUISystem/Editor/UnityEditor.UI.dll. Use path relative to the project folder.

My Z: dir has a GameDev directory where I store all of my projects and another Program Files dir that holds the Unity install. Is this invalid AssetDatabase path the cause of my problems? My project structure is as follows (not sure if this is at fault here):

 Assets/
 -- Animations/
 -- Prefabs/
 ---- Environment/
 ---- Tiles/
 -- Scripts/
 -- Sprites/

I've looked high and low for a solution, but can't seem to find one, but apologies if this has been asked elsewhere. I'm not sure if I included enough information, so please let me know if I need to explain anything else.

Close Unity. Delete the Temp and Library folder in project directory. Start Unity again.

$$anonymous$$ake sure both computers have the same Unity version. I had the same issue when my coworker sent me a prefab. He had version 5.0.1f and I had 5.0.0f. We both have windows computers though, so your problem may be something entirely different!

You can check versions by going to help-about unity in the unity editor.
