GameObject.Find on PhotonView/Scene object not working
Does anyone know if it is possible to use Find on a Photon Scene object?
I instantiate a scene object (i.e the map) with one player (the first to enter the room), and now I want all other players to access that object instead of creating a new one. When my second player enters, I can see the map, it's in my hierarchy (as a "scene" photonview object), yet GameObject.Find(xxx) does not work at all.
Anyone have ideas? Can you use GameObject.Find on non local photon view objects?
I would like to know the answer to this as well. I am having the same problem, I instantiate a scene object but any client that is not the master cannot find the game object with GameObject.Find nor with GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag. How do you find a game object that is not the owner's on Photon? I cannot find anything online that deals with this and Photon's support is non-existent, no one on their forums never answers anything.
This doesn't depend on if you are the owner of the object. If you have instantiated the object with PhotonNetwork.InstantiateSceneObject, the object should be created on all clients, that are connected to the same room. $$anonymous$$eans that each client should find them either by name or by tag if the prefab in the Resources folder is properly set up.
Photon's support is non-existent, no one on their forums never answers anything.
I haven't found any similar topic to this one in the last days.
