How do I make a hole in an object's geometry?
In my game I need to have some shapes coming out of the floor (no problem there) but also going through and creating holes in the floor (from a particular shape).
Since the level is generated procedurally, it would be so much easier if the objects could simply make a hole by cutting through the floor geometry.
Any clues?
Thanks

The only thing I remember of is the DepthMask shader from the wiki.
Thank you. Not what I had in $$anonymous$$d exactly but will work as well. It is, I$$anonymous$$HO the fastest and cheapest solution.

Does the hole have to be an actual physical hole or is it just cosmetic? If the former, then use the Mesh class and some (probably) complicated programming.
Thank you, but we will be using the above answer's suggestion. Working with the $$anonymous$$esh class would be a great project overhead for the problem at hand.
