How do you do taxicab geometry in Unity?
I have a ball and I want to move it around in 3d space (Specifically in SteamVR) using taxicab geometry.
I want to be able to move it along the prebuilt unity 3d grid lines. How would I go about doing this? Thanks in advance.

interesting. you could repeatedly evaluate which grid axis has the largest dot-product with the vector from the ball to the target. then start moving one grid-cell distance along that axis, the repeat. stop when the target is less than one grid-cell length away.
