Building Vuforia Project from Windows to XCode

Hello everyone,

We are trying to publish our project on the iOS platform, we were using previous versions of Vuforia and Unity and everything was fine. Now we have upgraded to Unity 5.4.1 and Vuforia 6.0.1 but when I try to build from Windows 8.1 to XCode, the project can't be parsed.

Error: iPhone.xcodeproj cannot be opened because the project file cannot be parsed.

I did a quick google search and was hit with the "Building a Vuforia iOS project from the Windows version of Unity isn't supported." which seemed to be a bit dismissive to me. I can't stop believing that there is a solution for this issue.

So aside from the fact that this kind of build isn't supported by Vuforia, I thought maybe there is solution to this issue on Unity forums. It doesn't make sense to me that there would be a problem building XCode project from Windows platform because we have done it before. So if anyone has found a way around this issue, I would appreciate your help

Thanks

Me too, today I have the same problem. it is very annoying. It seem that I should install unity for mac and build my project there. I use a virtual machine where I have installed OSX, and I build my iOS projects on windows and let the XCode build for the iPhone on the virtual mac, my only problem is that I should download again unity for mac ( I have a slow internet connection) ...

I ran in to this same problem today, but if you go here there's a working fix.
