Strange mesh rendering issue on my machine only
I've been having a problem for weeks that is preventing me from working. In our 3D game we have prefabs, so for example we have street pieces and coins which are both prefabs. When our character hits the Coins they should disappear and play a sound. When I hit the coins the sound plays but the coins stay visible.
We have a lap system that repeats one of the tracks 3 times. On the second lap some of the level pieces are completely invisible, but their collision is there.
We have our project on GIT, and I have checked in all my changes but no one else is having these issues.
I have reformatted my entire hard drive and the problem is still happening.
If it was a video card issue I would think some of the pieces would be invisible or corrupted not all of them.
I uninstalled all version of Unity and reinstalled the latest version. I'm now Unity getting crashes when I open the project for the first time (after a fresh clone) and intermittent crashes while playing.
To be honest, the first time I think I saw this problem occuring on my computer was when I opened the project in 4.3.4 to 4.5.0

So the pieces not rendering on the second time they loaded was due to them being tagged Batching Static. Removing the Static tick solved the problem for me. The strange thing is everyone on my team has the Batching Static ticked as well but wasn't seeing the problem.. The coin still have a problem but I'm leaning towards this being some sort of a script problem.
