Unity 5 project crashes on first scene load
Here's my situation. I was using unity 4.6 (love the new UI stuff) and was compiling the project I'm working on for iOS and Xcode 6.2 and no problems. No warnings in the Unity editor.
I was however getting a bad access error when I entered the first scene while attached to Xcode and it hung the game crashes. Still haven't figured out the Bad Access error in Xcode. The game however works fine once detached from Xcode and running on the device. Game worked as expected just as it worked in the Unity Editor.
I also have a short scene load right after Unity's Splash screen loads (just some shameless self promotion logo I designed) and then it loads the Main Menu for my game. This also worked as expected in Unity 4.6.
Again, the game works fine once detached from Xcode but not when it is attached. It was crashing on the first game scene when it loaded.
Now I've updated the project to unity 5 and compiled the same project (no changes or additions in code, no errors and warnings in Unity 5 editor) builds fine for Xcode 6.2 and it works well from screen to screen (except my splash screen does not show even though its added to the build settings. It does however trigger the sound associated with the scene but never shows the image of my logo).
When I enter a game scene, while attached same crash, same bad access error. But now it crashes the app on the device when detached where it was running fine previously. I can't seem to be able to track down why this Bad Access error was showing up in the first place.
I know this is really early but someone must be experiencing the same or similar problem with this combination of Unity 5 and Xcode 6.2. I can't believe no one tested Unity 5 builds against Xcode 6.2! Any help would be appreciated!
