System.IO documentation?
is there any unity-only documentation for system.?? and in particular system.IO.? at first glance appears to be .NET and seperate, so if that documentation will work then i can use it, but the unity docs themselves seem to leave out the bulk of it, (ie covers system.io.path but not system.io.)
ugh dunno why this thing adds http://
just system DOT IO lol

It's the same as .NET, yes. Unity's documentation on .NET stuff is weird. (off the top of my head, List and String are also from .NET)

System.IO on MSDN. It's not covered in the Unity docs because it's not Unity-specific and is already covered thoroughly on MSDN. (There's also the Mono docs, which are strictly speaking more appropriate, but tend to be severely unfinished.)
