When i bake lightmaps my meshes just explode into a harsh glow?

Hello! I haven't encountered such a problem ever hence why i'm confused as to where my parameters went wrong I have 1 Directional Light in the scene with some water and a custom texture on the skybox, however when i try to bake lightmaps, they just explode into a very intense white (see images). Any clue what could be the problem? The meshes have lightmap generation enabled.
