Unity Freezing
Just purchased a Unity Pro serial number. When I open unity to enter the number, the app just freezes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't help either.
My OS is Windows 7 x64.
Thanks
or, if Unity is sitting waiting for a connection to our license server sometimes it can appear frozen. In such a situation perhaps try the manual activation process.
I would like to give that a try. How can I unregister my current free version so I can begin the manual process?
A little more info. $$anonymous$$y current Unity installation was activated as the free product. I have since purchased a license key. I go and click on the Change Serial number in the help menu and it give me the option to re-activate. I click reactivate and Unity just locks up. Any ideas?

Someone in my work had a similar problem and it was a problem with his videocard driver, he updated it and Unity had exaclty the behavior you describe, so he says that he downgraded the driver to de one that comes in Windows by default... good luck with that =)

Run Unity as admin, should fix the problem, internet activation takes a minutes or two but it should work
