how to upgrade unity android sdk manually for API 29
i am using latest version of unity but still API 29 in missing in sdk and i dont know how to upgrade it manually. can someone plz help me out. thanks
You can manually upgrade/downgrade your sdk by downloading a selected api level from Android Studio. Unity automatically finds the downloaded one and selects it if you change the sdk in external tools and hit browse.

i would suggest to stick with the recommended versions for your unity version, but if you want to upgrade download android studio and in the android studio options you will be able to download any sdk version you prefer
actually i dont find any option to upgrade in unity version. Latest version of unity has android sdk with API 28 . so i use android studio and copy there API 29,30 in unity version. I found this solution here and its working perfectly. Thanks anyway. link text

How To Use Update Android SDK in Windows. 1. Save this code to sdk.cmd. 2. Modify UNITY_VERSION 3. Add or change the SDK you need: platforms;android-XX 4. Run sdk.cmd as Administrator. set UNITY_VERSION=2020.1.8f1

cd %ANDROID_HOME%SDK\tools\bin\
echo.> %USERPROFILE%\.android\repositories.cfg
cmd /C sdkmanager --update
cmd /C sdkmanager "platform-tools" "platforms;android-29"

Upgrading without installing Android Studio is also possible on Mac via Terminal.
(c)hange (d)irectory to the "AndroidPlayer" by typing
cd
followed by a[space]
.
drag and drop the folder, or copy and paste the path. Mine (adjust as needed):
cd /Volumes/HDD/Applications/Unity/Hub/Editor/2020.3.21f1/PlaybackEngines/AndroidPlayer
copy and paste the following to update the Android SDK metadata:
touch ~/.android/repositories.cfg
export ANDROID_HOME=`pwd`
export JAVA_HOME="$ANDROID_HOME/OpenJDK"
cd SDK/tools/bin
./sdkmanager --update
copy and paste the following, adjusting the platform version you want to install:
./sdkmanager platform-tools 'platforms;android-30'
