visual studio shell 2010 invalid license data. reinstall is required
1) What happened Visual Studio failed to open. Been getting this error. "visual studio shell 2010 invalid license data. reinstall is required". Here are the steps to replicate.
Install Visual Studio 2012
Install Unity3d
Set Visual Studio as the default browser.
Open a CS file from unity, it should work fine
Install SQL Management Studio 2012
Now open, it should not work. Will receive Shell 2010 error.
I have a temporary fix by uninstalling SQLMS 2012 and the shell dependencies. Then reinstalling VS 2012. This fix is pathetic as I have to use SQLMS for my real job. Please fix Unity to ignore all the Visual Studio 2010 crap if 2012 is around.
