A way for multiple people to work on the same game world at the same time?

Greetings,

Is there a way for multiple people to work on the same game world at the same time? I mean actually be logged in together working together.

If this is not built into Unity and there is no extension for it, I wish someone would create one.

I think if people could be in a game being developed together, building it together, there would be an explosion of creativity and games. I think people who otherwise would not create games would find it appealing to login and work on games with others.
