help with character and making my map look realistic
first of all i need to know how to create a character just a body not the clothes or any thing because i will add Armour later , where do i begin do i use cubes and mold it together or do i create a mesh what is a mesh? and how do i make one. what do i do when i have the body how do i make it walk, run and jump.
secondly i want to know how to make my renders of a wall come on only on side and is there someone out there who is good at rendering and textures.
i know this is far more than one question but i had to fit it all in. i would be highly grateful if someone could answer me.
No, you didn't have to "fit it all in". You could just do what the FAQ says: "Don't post multiple unrelated questions in one post. $$anonymous$$ake separate posts ins$$anonymous$$d, each with one question."
And for that matter, you might want to not ask most of those questions here. $$anonymous$$odeling and animating character models is something you need to learn to do outside of UnityAnswers, since it in no way pertains to Unity. Once you need help actually importing those models to Unity, then UnityAnswers would be the proper site to discuss it. What you've basically said is "I don't know how to do anything and I need help on how to make everything", and it shows a lack of general understanding that needs to be rectified before you proceed. I'd recommend studying these things before you try making a game, or you're going to give up in a week.

3D models are meshes created in popular tools such as Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, and so on.
To make your map more realistic add hills mountains a sky-box and trees and rocks. If you need assets get them from the Asset Store in unity under the tab at the tab titled "Window" For the Armour you can search tutorials but if you do have Armour 3rd person would be more effective, (Think Skyrim). If you want your player to Jump and walk and run, just get the 3rd person controller from the "Standard Assets" folder in the "Character Controllers" folder.
If you need more details on all of the subjects make an individual well written question for each question you just asked that doesn't sound like a cry for help,
Sincerely Miner_John
