Custom icon isn't showing on Desktop
I'm having a weird problem here, when I build my game and put the folder anywhere but the desktop I can see the custom icon I made, whether I build directly to the desktop or to a different folder and then move both the exe and data file to the desktop I always get the default Unity icon.
Is there some other configuration I need to make?
I had the same problem like you, and I solved this problem by changing my exe file's name. You can change your exe file's name and you will see the result that you want.(changed Icon)
Oh, man. I've been stuck with this one for two hours and the solution is so simple. This answer should really be pinned somewhere. The most peculiar thing it goes right back to unity icon/blurry $$anonymous$$e when you change to the original name. Thank you, kind sir.
Not sure how you configure the icon, but the most common way is to configure at the Player Settings, which you drag your icon to the Default Icon slot and done, then everything will working find
