How do I save scene when I keep getting error messages to put it into an asset folder?

I have already have an asset folder set up and ready, but even if I click on it or go in into it, it still says that I need to place the scene in the assets folder. But how? Where? It's very frustrating, since I'm just trying to follow a tutorial for class, and I can't move forward without saved progress. Is Unity always this buggy and annoying?
