Unity pro student discount

Hello! Hi!!

I read here on UA that you can get the PRO version of Unity3d at Journeyed.com, but one of the moderators said that it is only available in the US (Here is the thread). Is that true? If so is there any way that we in the non-US can get it?

What? You don't believe me? Yes, you have to be in the US and be a registered student to get this discount. We are looking into how we can provide a similar scheme to students in other countries. These reduced price Pro licenses cannot be used for commercial work and are watermarked.

Ha ha. I do fully believe you, but maybe you made a spelling flaw(you know a human thing) or so I kinda hoped. :)

Thank you.

How bad is the watermark? Is it just the splash screen, I hope?

Just to clarify, when you and OP say watermark you both mean a splash screen, correct? Or there is some other form of the watermark which I am not aware of?

The good news is, the student discount is the best there can be. After all, the learning process has never been easy. You may also need help with letters of recommendation. But in my opinion, it's better to buy recommendation letters if you want guaranteed success. It's definitely something for everyone. So good luck with that.
