Upgrading from 2019 to 2020/2021 has caused some textures for .blend models to corrupt.
Hi all! I've done some research on this and I'm really not finding anyone else experiencing the same problem, so thought I'd try asking here. I've been using Unity 2019 (2019.2.10f1 to be specific) for a long time now, and haven't been getting any problems with it so there was no need for me to upgrade. However, I'm finding a lot of assets in the asset store requiring me to upgrade to 2020 versions to use them.
I've now tried 2 different newer versions (2020.3.14f1 and 2021.1.11f1), both of which have led to some really annoying problems with textures. Most of my models are saved in the .blend format for convenience with editing them in Blender, and never had any problems with the file so I just kept using it. Upgrading to these newer versions have caused some textures to simply not work. As an example...

The skin, toes, and shirt have all had their textures corrupted, whilst other things like the tie and trousers are still fine, which really doesn't make any sense at all to me.
The texture map used for all of these are exactly the same one as used in 2019 versions and still works fine in those. I'll also add that opening this model in Blender and inspecting the textures over there still works as expected.
I've tried reimporting the model, reimporting the textures, deleting the textures and saving them again from Blender, playing around with some settings, but still nothing is working. What does work is saving as a .fbx file instead of a .blend file.
If anyone has any idea on what the problem could be, please let me know, cause I really don't want to have to go through every single model and reimport them as a different file type, as they all already have components and animations set up, which would just be a pain to have to add them all back again. Thank you!
