Extract an apk?

Hi, A while ago I was making a game with Unity, the problem is that I lost the game folder with all the data inside and I spent a lot of time drawing things, things that I lost. However I have an apk from the game (pretty old, but could be useful to not lose everything) and I would like to know if there is any way to get my pictures, scripts etc back by using the mentioned apk.

I already changed it to .zip to open and see what's inside but it doesn't seem that simple. P

Yes it's possible, but it requires decompilation and I'm not going to explain how to do that in a public forum, since it is the same method by which you'd illegally rip the assets from any game. If you really want to, it's not difficult to find out how with a Google search.

Alternatively, if you're willing to upload your APK to a website and share the link I'll try to extract what assets I can for you. And next time, be sure to keep backups of your projects :)

I've tried using some programs and I couldn't get anything so it would be really nice of you to extract the assets. Is there any way to send the link with the apk in a private message?

There's an application called "Unity Asset Extractor". You can decompile .asset files. BUT first, you need to do following:

  1. Rename the .apk to .zip and extract it using e.g. 7zip.

  2. Merge the splitted .asset files.

You mean these files like "sharedassets0.assets.split0" ? I have a lot of those, but I don't know how to combine them. I alreade searched for it on Google but I don't know... nothing found. $$anonymous$$aybe it's to simple and I'm missing something :P

.. .. Edit:

Ok, now with the UnityAssetsExplorer I think I got my files back apparently there was no need to combine the .split files. Now I got a lot of .tex/.dds files, so I'll try to find a program to convert them or something :P .. .. Well.. nope, I just got one image from all the splitted assets, any idea how to combine them or something?
