2D topdown pathfinding ,2D top down path finder

you know those games where you see your character and land from above? where there's different paths to take too? i wanna make that but have no idea how to build it or whatnot. I'm a complete novice who did unity basic tutorials. i need help figuring out how to build the levels and such... plz help,u know those games where u see the character and land from above? where it has different paths you can take as well, i want to make that but im overwhelmed on where and how to start. im a complete novice who did basic tutorials... help!
