Firefox Unity Games using FlashPlayer plugin... why?
Could somebody please exlplain the deal with Firefox (latest stable version of course) and Unity Web player?
I keep getting quite bad system instability (CPU spikes, RAM Spikes, lag, etc) when viewing content made with Unity on Firefox... I have no trouble with anything else of this nature anywere else (online/offline)
How exactly are Unity and Adobe Flash related?
Also, a few more pressing questions:
Why is there no "Unity Plugin" for Firefox while Adobe has like 2 for each media platform? (Shockwave, Flash, etc...)
Why is my GPU sitting idle while my CPU struggles to process large amounts of graphical content while on Firefox using Unity?
Why do I have at least two processes on my Task manager called "flashPlayerPlugin_version_.exe" that are using HUGE amounts of RAM when there is no Adobe Flash content running anywhere on my page? (obviously all being played by Unity)
Somebody please help!

As far as I know Unity has nothing to do with Flash Player. WebPlayer builds used the Unity WebPlayer plugin, but it was deprecated a long time ago, now you do a WebGL build and it doesn't use any plugin at all.
O$$anonymous$$ - fair enough
so any idea why the two top RA$$anonymous$$ & CPU using processes (by far!) were Adobe Flash related if there was no Flash content on a website that has a lot of Unity content?
