Using Collider and Rigidbodies for simple collision detection
I've read the documentation on Rigidbodies and Colliders but having a problem getting a very simple collision to happen. Imagine a scene with a TOP view looking straight down over a ice rink. The rink is surrounded by 'boards' (simple Quads). There is a puck on the ice which moves in XZ directions only. The puck's position is updated in realtime via camera tracking. I've attached both Rigidbody and Colliders to both the puck and the boards. Gravity is obviously turned off and I've tried both a Mesh Collider and Box Collider for the boards. But I can't seem to get the boards to contain the puck, it travels straight thru. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong?
Are you working with layers? Check your physics collision matrix, maybe you changed something.
