Using a height map to distort a subdivided plane.
Hello! I am working on a game that sed a plane divided into 20x20. I have small images that I would like to use as a height map to modify these vertices. It is very similar to Terrain but on a smaller scale. I don't necessarily need code (it is always appreciated though), but any pointer in the right direction would be very useful!

To do that, programming is a must. You can do it though the mesh or shader
You can write a shader with displacement http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/SL-SurfaceShaderExamples.html
You can also write script to morph the mesh. Read the colors from the Texture and adjust the Vertices' position of your mesh http://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Mesh.html
