Moving tram along rail.

Hello. I would like to ask how to move a tram along rails, to make it head correct direction. I have been searching for it long time but didnt found anything. I would like to make player able to control the speed of tram. Also it would be good to see second tram going in opposite direction, but I dont demand it. I just want to know how can I make tram move along rail.
