Question by Joebear · Nov 14, 2016 at 11:08 PM · c#movementmovement script

Movement input problem?

I'm not interested in coding just yet, so I need some help with this code. The keys used to move are in the wrong places. A goes forward when it should go left, etc. Can someone comment a solution please? It's in C#. Not sure what's needed, so here's the whole thing:

The code in your post is all messed up. That said, all honestly, the general attitude of anyone who can code that views this is going to be "I am not your personal developer". Maybe try /r/gamedevclassifieds on Reddit for this type of thing.

Also we have no idea what your version of 'correct' is for input controls as you didn't state it.

You are not going to get far in Unity, at ALL, with the attitude that you wish to avoid coding. Learning to write a character controller is elementary (as in you will forever be a slave to the standard asset CC's until you can write one on your own - and yes currently I use and modify the standard asset FPC but it's largely how I want it) and there are some really good tutorials on it out there, just make sure to look for more recent ones.

This is a REALLY REALLY REALLY AWESOME tutorial related to creating a 2D character controller. Many many of the concepts touched upon relate directly to creating a 3D version.

Good luck.
