Start with a light turned off.

This should be a simple question. I have an object with a light as a component. I would like that when the game starts that the light is initially turned off, until the object is selected(via OnMouseDown). Since I had gotten the light on the object to toggle successfully when clicked I figured I could use the same code but place it in the start function. When I do this as I have done so below the light remains on. Any suggestions how to get the desired output?

 using UnityEngine;
 using System.Collections;
 
 public class Toggle_Light_TEST : MonoBehaviour {
 
     void start(){
         this.light.enabled = !this.light.enabled;
     }
 
     private void OnMouseDown(){
             this.light.enabled = !this.light.enabled;
     }
 }

Start needs to be capitalized.

Also, if what you want is it to be odd, then set it to False. Thats safer then toggling it with the assumption that its currently true, and thus better code.
