Evaluation question
I have been tasked with the evaluation of multiple game engines to decide on the best engine for our purposes. We are interested in engines that we can strip away everything and use it as a renderer only. Is this possible with the Unity engine?
If all you want is a renderer, why are you looking at game engines like Unity? Shouldn't you just be using something like DirectX or OpenGL?

Not as far as I know, but removing everything except the renderer pretty much removes the point of using Unity in the first place.
