How do I import brushes? (gizmos folder??)
This is driving me mad... Ive alpha'd my .png, but where is the "Gizmos" folder Im supposed to put it into?
can't find it anywhere... what am I doing wrong? (Im using the trial version on the PC)
-thanks
Hi Fattie- Im using Unity 3 (I think its the free version as opposed to a trial version)
Unity does not have a gizmos folder. The terrain editor uses brushes, but I don't think you can design your own. $$anonymous$$aybe back up a few squares and tell us what you are trying to do.
Im trying to create a shellhole brush (for the terrain editor). I was following another threads instructions that said create an alpha & import into the gizmos folder... (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/118368-Unity-Terrain-Custom-Brushes)
did you ask ON THAT SITE, ON THAT FORU$$anonymous$$? Also you could message or even personally email that poster ?

Create a folder in your Unity Assets folder called Gizmos
Copy your PNG into the Gizmos folder, and give is the name brush_0
Restart Unity
Get painting height in the terrain editor.
A quick experiment told me that the brushes need to be named brush_{number}. I guess you made the same conclusion?
I had the same problem and it's important to start with _0 even if there are by default like 20 brushes. I first thought i had to start with _21.
Start with _0, then _1 and so on with your new pngs in the Gizmos folder
