Upgraded to Unity 5.4.1, editor freezes whenever I attempt to save a scene
I have attempted upgrading from Unity 5.3.3 to the latest version and am continuing to run into an issue that keeps me from being able to do so. I open my project and everything is imported fine. But, every time I attempt to save a scene the editor freezes (I get the little spinning rainbow disc that never goes away). Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this and how I can fix it? I'd love to not be stuck on 5.3.3 forever.
Thanks!
I have not. Since there isn't an actual crash, I never get to the screen that would allow the bug to be reported with the relevant data.
Is there a solution yet? I have this problem too (5.6.0f3).

There is an actual bug report program that you can open

thanks! I'll give that a go.
@byCDW Note: There wasn't a solution for me. What I had to do was create an empty project in the new version of Unity and then manually import the assets. It was unpleasant, to say the least.
