Why does my app fail to download on play store?
Hey everyone I got a situation I hope someone can help me with. I finally finished my android app in unity and uploaded it to the play store. After almost a day, I can finally search for my game and see it in the search results. When I try to download it to my galaxy s5 (the same phone I was building the apk to for testing) it downloads to 100%, says "installing" and then says "failed to download Kazu Ninja Adventure, try again or troubleshoot: Error -505". The troubleshoot thing just says to clear the play store cache and data which didnt do anything for me. To be fair this isnt my primary phone, I use my iPhone now so the Galaxy doesnt have service. I am on wifi though and have no issue downloading other apps.
Whats annoying is that i asked two of my buddies to download it and they both could, one of them even has a galaxy s5 too! Any ideas why im getting the error. I feel like its really important for me to be able to download and test my own app. The app is called "Kazu Ninja Adventure" for anyone who wants to see if they can download it to. You dont have to keep the game by any means but just to see if it works. Thanks!
@andrewwebber25 I just downloaded your game in my phone with no problem! So, maybe your should post a question in Google forums.
BTW, you forgot to switch off test ads, and it's also a bit buggy at startup. The first time I started a game and selected the unlocked level, I immediately got a Unity Test Ad. I let it finish, clicked the close button, and the game crashed. I started the game for a second time, went through the same actions, and this time the game played properly. $$anonymous$$aybe you should take a look at why the game crashes the first time out. If it happened to me, it'll most probably happen to others too.
In any case, this issue is not reproducible.
Thank you very much for the information! I actually just posted a question after this about the Unity Ads. I unchecked the Test Ads in Ads Service tab (in the unity program) and they still look like test ads, is there another place I have to do it? Thanks for your help!
I removed my relative comment from here and added it as an answer to your new question about Unity Ads.
