Why does the monobehaviour name have the _mono_ prefix?
just curiosity. I have a theory, but I want to know what you think about it.

Because it uses the Mono (opensource project alternative of .Net) framework.
There was already a similar question: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/8555/What-is-Mono-Is-it-a-compiler-A-language-Or-what.html
Is it really worth a new question on Unity Answers? I don't think so!
ok I could not find it, however I know that all the javascript classes inherit from monobehaviour. Is that true? If so what is the relation?
UnityScript (please don't say javascript because it has nothing to do with regular HT$$anonymous$$L-embedded javascript) is also compiled into CIL (an intermediate low-level language) that is ultimately executed by the $$anonymous$$ono runtime.
I find it worth a new question on Unity Answers especially considering the other one did not ask where the mono came from

It's a JS file that Unity calls Javascript. . . so it's a Unityscript file?
Okay.
@muuskii I know that UT themselves call it Javascript. But that's just wrong habit and it is misleading: there have been numerous posts/questions on Unity Answers and Forums about it.
