how to host android build without google

Question

i am interested in porting a simple game to android and i am new to android builds and how the proccess works.

do i need to publish on the google play store for users? or is it possible to host the builded files on my own website to allow users to install my game?

any basic info would be appreciated.

hi, how to host android built without google :

1/ built file.apk file

2/ make that file (file.apk) downloadable in your website

that's all , open link on your phone browser and istall apk :D

Android is more flexible then IOS. I suppose users would need to reach .apk file and store that in their files directory.
