UI Text component issue with rich text size overflowing

Hello all. I've been trying to find other people that have solved this problem but, so far, i've come up empty handed. The issue is that when adding a rich text size tag () the texts overflows vertically even while the vertical overflow field is properly set to 'truncate'. An example:

Here you can see that although the text overflow is set to truncate the text is seen cut in half. Moreover, if i put the size tag in the first character of the line (the 'e' in everything) the text behaves correctly and disappears (as it should be truncated). It looks as if the truncate field only takes into account the first character of the line. Has anybody find/solved this issue? Thank you from a poor desperate soul :(
