How to draw a strategy game map?
I'm programming a strategy game but I got stuck, since I can't figure out how to properly draw the map. The map is divided in provinces, which are different objects obtained by cutting the same plane in Blender. The easiest way would be to draw the textue in Photo Shop and then apply it to the map, but there is an important problem: I would need enourmous textures to keep them sharp. So now I'm trying to just apply different materials to the provinces to draw them, this way it keeps sharp but I don't know how to draw the borders between provinces. Since the provinces mesh's borders coincide with the borders i wanna draw I thought of making a gradient or shader able to draw only around the mesh's borders but I didn't succeed. Any ideas?
