Best 3D Modeling program for Buildings
Hi I have a question about some 3d programs, I grew up using Google SketchUp from day 1 of my modeling hobby. However google sketchup does not do well when importing into Unity. I love to model buildings, so if you know of a decent program that does this well I would appreciate it.
1 Please do not suggest blender. I find it too confusing at the moment and I understand these things take time but I would like to know if you guys have any suggestions for any other program.
2 Simple UI and ease of use is important.
3 Price is not a problem.
Semper Fi! Thanks guys.
Grab Cheetah3d (it's not even expensive) to begin with
(Like you, I just don't like Blender. (I absolutely admire all the work people have put in to it, but it just doesn't work as a cohesive interface/product - for me.)
Cheetah3D is great. cheetah3d.com. the training videos etc are all terrific.
Other than that really, just go for the (expensive) Autodesk products that are the industry standard for all 3D .. eg $$anonymous$$aya, etc. That's about it really.
Note that modelling BUILDINGS ........ SPECIFICALLY FOR 3D WOR$$anonymous$$ .. I $$anonymous$$EAN FOR GA$$anonymous$$ES and similar ... is utterly different to modelling 3D buildings for say design, architecture etc.
(Indeed, modelling - say - cars, or guns, for engineering use, is utterly, utterly different from modelling for the 3D industry.)
Hope it helps in some way
