c# light off

How would i make it so that when i start the game the light is off and not on?

     public  AudioClip SwitchOff;

         _upPosition = GameObject.Find ("UpPosition");
         _downPosition = GameObject.Find ("DownPostion");

             _switchOn = false;
             goLightSwitch.transform.position = new Vector3(goLightSwitch.transform.position.x,

First change your Light Light to Light light Light is a class defined within Unity's component system. May cause clashing of names.

Then from there in the Start function do the following light.enabled = false also you could set the intensity to 0 or the radius/distance to 0 as well. Many ways to disable(turn on/off) the light. Check the doc for the methods.
