Standard Material Emission enabled: can run in editor but cannot run in a build
I am building a VR game with Vive. I came across a bug that I am hoping to find a fix for. my game ran perfectly fine in Editor mode, but when I export it as a build, it does not run and just freezes at a black screen right at launch. After a full day of debugging, I singled out a material that I used on a particular gameobject. it's just a standard material, but whenever I enable the Emission on that material, it causes the game not to run when exported to a build. It runs OK in editor.
I have used standard material before and it was fine. But I am not sure maybe there a combination of something else in my scene that causes the bug. I am using unity 2017.1.0f3.
my game is OK now once I do not use the emission setting. But it is a bit of an inconvenience not able to use emission when I need it. Please help!
