Unity 5.5 Line renderer + Animation crash
Has anyone had this yet?
New scene, create line renderer and try to animate its width. Unity has crashed constantly :|
Due to @Glurth said that it's tested with no issues. Can you possibly provide us your script?
Or maybe there was a typo or something.
hm, I have no scripts. I could have sworn this was what was causing the problem yesterday especially since it was a clean scene. I have sent a bug report and i'm waiting to hear what they get from it. It was causing problems all day yesterday, almost always consistently.
Will try to update this thread if more info comes through
If a Script has a error, you'll get a error, regardless of it in the scene or not.
You can export your project scene/animatior controler/animations, etc... to a "package" (assets->export package), and (I think) post that on your question. I'll give it a go. If I have no problems with THAT, then it's probably a system specific issue.
I had the same issue with my game -- I was animating the width of a line renderer and the game would crash randomly because of it. $$anonymous$$y stack trace showed the following which is how I knew this was the issue: 0x0000000140B9AE65 (Unity) AnimationCurveTpl::Evaluate 0x0000000140A20D70 (Unity) Build3DLine 0x0000000140A2BBA4 (Unity) LineRenderer::RenderGeometryJob 0x0000000140B8AA69 (Unity) JobQueue::Exec 0x0000000140B897E4 (Unity) JobQueue::S$$anonymous$$l 0x0000000140B89B57 (Unity) JobQueue::ExecuteJobFromQueue 0x0000000140B8AE54 (Unity) JobQueue::ProcessJobs 0x0000000140B8AF3B (Unity) JobQueue::WorkLoop 0x0000000140F8C88C (Unity) Thread::RunThreadWrapper 0x00007FFB3C1E13D2 ($$anonymous$$ERNEL32) BaseThreadInitThunk 0x00007FFB3DD554E4 (ntdll) RtlUserThreadStart
