How to stop particles from rotation with particle system
Have a look at attached image. I have a particle system that emits shells from a gun. The shells lie on the ground for a while until they disappear. I use simulation space "world" which ensures that the particles do not move with the particle system. HOWEVER, the particles still seem to ROTATE with the particle system. So they stay put on the ground but when I rotate my character with the gun with the particle system the particles also rotate.
Does anyone know how to make the particles not rotate with the particle system?
Thanks for your help :-)

Thanks :-) It was local, I changed to World and it worked.

I fixed it by setting the Render Alignment on the Renderer as ifurkend suggested.
Did you solve this? I'm having the same problem. I want the particles to be completely independent from the character rotation. Basically they should have their own behaviour.
Yes, it was fixed by: On the particle system choose "Renderer" -> "Render Alignment" and set it to "World".

Ensure that the particles are not instantiated as child objects of the player
