In the editor for the free version i have no words on any of the menus or anything?
It just shows a blank box or nothing under a folder.
So, the words on the tabs and things are fine. The problem is the panels (Heirachy, Project, Inspector) are empty?
If so, that's normal. They show things you've imported and created. If you're just starting a fresh project... .
You are doomed! :) Just kidding. Try to reinstall the unity. That's all I can say.
Can you provide a screenshot? Also, which OS are you using?
