Enable Config Dialog

Hi all,

I'm not sure what's happened but the Config Dialog (for resolution and inputs) no longer appear when I open the game I have built. The only answers I've found have said go to Project Settings > Player and check "Display Resolution Dialog", however I don't have that check box my Player Settings. Here is a screen shot of what I see: alt text

I've tried fooling around with the check boxes that are there and looked at all the other screens in the Project Settings and found nothing.

I'm using 2019.3.2f1 on Mac OS X

Any suggestions welcome =)

The resolution dialogue was deprecated a few version ago, although for whatever reason Unity decided to deprecate it without providing any kind of replacement. So, you'll need to replace it yourself - either through an in-game options menu or by creating a separate app that launches the game with commands.

Thanks for the reply. It's weird there's no reference to the deprecation anywhere else. I mean I believe you, but is there a list of command options for resolution/config screen? Do we have to use something like InControl?

Here's the post (I believe the only official post?) where they mention it being deprecated (before it was silently removed);

https://blogs.unity3d.com/2019/04/16/introducing-unity-2019-1/?_ga=2.190534571.127106168.1592183750-679413684.1583625446#display

As for commands, at the bottom of the commandline docs page is a list of commands for standalone applications (which you can call by adding them to a shortcut, through the commandline, a separate app, etc.);

Yeah, I saw those command line arguments while hunting for solutions, but it looks like there's really no option other than InControl or something I code myself. Come to think of it I even read that blog entry but was focused on the DOTS stuff. Anyway, thanks for your answer, I was planning on getting InControl to mess around with soon anyway, I guess this makes it a priority ;-)
