Navmesh for walls (2015)

Just wondering if in the new version of unity 5 is possible. I tried and still only do the navmesh on the floor.
I only need my player to walk on walls. I could implement that mechanic without navmesh, and let use the navmesh only for the enemies. The problem is that if I do that (deactivate the navmeshAgent of the player and let the enemies one on) when the enemies approach to me, they act weird: bounce, or rotate horizontally, etc.
Hoping you can positively tell me that navmesh can be used for non-floor surfaces (walls, ceilings...)
