Opening Door with Key
I need help opening a door with a key in my game. I'm new to scripting and it would be nice if someone cloud tell me how to go about doing this. If it is any help I am using the FPS Control Engine (http://fpscontrol.com) Thank you in advanced!
I don't know about the fpscontrol Engine thing but i got a few additional questions. What is your key? Is it a string to be entered like a Code, is it a gameObject tagged key? Is it an Object of a class key? What is it exactly that you Need? The hole processing by telling you how to implement a Door and a key? Or do you have a Door and an existing key of somewhat type that you simply Need to get to interact with each other? Do you have a player with an inventory or are you carrying around the key in your characters Hand...

If your player collects a key, turn a bool to true. If you collide with a door, check if the player has the key by using get component and check if that bool is true. I am not writing a script for you. Also, try to google it first before posting an answer on Unity Answers. Thanks and good luck
