Script to make object react to collision

hi,

I'm looking for a basic movement script that will move an object in the opposite direction with some acceleration when it detects a collision with another object. Something that will just give some visual feedback (other than effects, sparks, camera shake, etc.) that a collision has taken place. I'm trying to avoid using physics as the game is for mobile platforms.

Any information would be great.
