Have game objectives appear on screen?
Okay, so, i am creating a psychological horror game where the player must explore the map and find different items to be able to escape. I have my map built, but now i am stuck. I need to be able to have a list of objectives come up on screen when the player spawns, which will be to find a flashlight. When the player picks up the flashlight, the objective will be complete and a new one will be activated. How would i do this? Thank you. (Only 15, doing this as i want to be a game developer, go easy).
Do you know C# or javascript ? You will need that to do an entire game. Unity is very powerful to do map building with easily usable tools, but every tool can't replace some coding.
I f you have the art/creative assets I could write the back-end for you. But, I ain't cheap. If budget negates that idea; I'd suggest just running through all the tutorials Unity offers. There is no BlackHat stuff going on here - it's pretty much opensource and a great community of coders willing to share.
