3rd person cross hair that is oriented to character, not center screen.
So in my game I'm drumming up I have a camera lock on system that directs the camera at the intended target. This way the character can still be facing and moving in any direction and shoot forward (as intended). the problem is when locked onto the target it is hard to tell when the character is pointed at the target and able to shoot it with out just holding down the fire button until you happen to cross the target with your firing path. My initial solution was to have a non physics based object that was attached to my ship and placed out in front of it. I'm hoping to find a better solution though as there are still a number of drawbacks with this. I was thinking of having line render from the cent front of the character and it draw a cross hair at Point on hit. Any suggestions and advice on this would be appreciated.
